Straight hd 30 is prefect for an air cooled engine in florida stop and go, might be thick for a Wisconsin winter tho.... But thats what i run in everything air cooled...
And as far as conventional vs synthetic goes, i like synthetics as long as there rated for the job there doing (ie dont use a standard synthetic in your bike, it will destroy.the clutch plates...
