I took it to a shop today to try to get the air out... he said that after using his vacuum tool there must be no air in the system, but the brake still won't grab. (Thankfully he didn't charge me for the attempt! He suggested I just use my rear brake like the "old school Harley guys" do, ha.) I was wondering, could the problem be with the caliper? Even after cleaning it, the brake is still dragging. Would it be better to pop the pistons all the way out and probably have to rebuild it entirely? Or could a bad master cylinder cause brake drag too? The MC was able to pump fluid through during the bleeding attempts... though when I would pump it with the bleeder closed to try to build pressure, no more than slight pressure ever built.
Advice? Should I try for the caliper first or the MC or both? Darn it the brake was working fine until I tried to clean the caliper. I'm stuck in California, trying to ride home to Tennessee, so I'm trying to balance out money and time. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
