A better question would be - why would you want to bother with disk brake
rear? As most modern disk / disk brake setups can attest - the rear doesn't
need the braking power the front does due to compression of the front
suspension during slowing - You need braking power on the front. If you
want to improve the bike's braking performance, try retrofitting a front
double disk. A rear disk, if not setup correctly, could actually cause too
much braking on the rear. It is also expensive and requires more
maintenance, attention, fluids and engineering than a simple drum brake. I
suspect this is why Honda left that out....
