Because Nikon offered a set of E Series lenses when they introduced the EM, it's a common misunderstanding that the EM can only use E Series lenses. NOT SO. The EM can use any AI, AIS or AF lens. Further, the E Series lenses, while made with plastic mounts, are superb lenses, especially the 75-150mm zoom, the 100mm, the 35mm, and the 50mm. Just look for the versions with metal fastening ring (the original versions had no silver ring). And THOSE lenses work just fine on any Nikon that allows AI or AIS lenses. I use the 100mm with my FM2n all the time, and it's one of my very favorite lenses. Let's stop this misinformation before it gets passed further.
