Don,

Do a search through the archives w/ that new search
engine. I've posted on this topic before -- Nikon
will (or at least, used to) send a replacement back
for free. I bought my N90(non-s), oh, in 1995 I think.
It didn't take but a few months to start peeling. I
called NikonUSA, they asked for my serial number, and
then a few days later I got a new back in the mail, and
returned the old one (part of the deal). It's been 3
        years now and no peeling.

This was also a problem w/ the MF26, but I bought a new
one this past April, and so far no problems (knock wood).
