I agree that the Nikon filters work fine on the 24/2.8 AIS which I have, but
I do not understand your comment on the polarizer causing vignetting.   The
Nikon 52mm circular polarizer is oversize so it works fine on the 24mm,
however, neither the HN-1, nor the special lens hood for the oversize
polarizer, the HN-12, can be used.
