Ezequiel:
There aere several models of the F2, depending primarily on which
finder is included with it.
The problem you allude to has to do with the F2 Photomic with the
DP-1 finder and the F2A with the DP-11. These needle-based meters
typically have a "ring-resistor" that is prone to failure after
about 20 years. The part is no longer available for repair
purposes. The F2S and F2AS with DP-2 and DP-12 finders
respectively, are LED readouts that are still quite reliable.
An F2 Photomic is not worth nearly so much as an F2AS in similar
condition. The $400 price might a good one for an F2AS, depending
on condition (you mention "very used"), but quite high for a
Photomic with the DP-1.
I suggest you pay a visit to http://www.KEH.com to check out
prices from a respected dealer for the various F2 bodies before
you decide.
The thing to pay attention to when you examine the camera is
meter function and accuracy.
Good luck.
Incidentally I still love my old F2 Photomic.
