Last Friday, I was told that my position was being downsized. Two departments are merging, and management decided that they didn't need as many developers as they had before. I had worked for Emdeon for five and a half years, but only for about one and a half years in the current department, so I lacked seniority. My last day on the payroll is September 3rd, but I am already off-duty, using up accrued vacation time.
So, I am seeking new employment. I have 24 years experience as a programmer/analyst, on both Unix and Microsoft systems. My most recent experience has been in Perl and C, on a Unix platform. If anyone knows of an opening, I would appreciate hearing about it. -- John F.
