I have been having a similar level of ire lately over how often my PS3 updates.
Each time there is an update, there is a requirement to go through the various
agreements. It also seems that anytime there is an update, the playstation
network rejects those on the old firmware from getting in.

Most of the time I only use my PS3 for netflix. And most of the time, I can put
off any firmware upgrades till netflix upgrades and kicks old clients off the
network. Then I must upgrade the PS3 so it can login and download the updated
netflix app.

Does anyone else see the potential bait and switch potential here. You are
baited with reasonable TOS and similar agreements such they you purchase a
device. Then your use of the device as advertised is contingent on upgrades
which force you into new agreements.

At least on the PS3, I get to choose when to upgrade and agree to the new
terms. Looks like Cisco could be in some deep shit over auto updating and
forcing new terms upon your usage.

Maybe an AG needs to step in and excersize some public safety justice upon them.

I need to start using something like Rick Bradleys bill diff to compare TOS
upgrades and see what is actually changing.
