Your points don't match the data that we have. The most commonly used flow control library in npm is one that manages callbacks, async.
There are plenty of people that don't use callbacks, and that's great, but "every knows" is kind of outlandish considering all the data we have does not agree with you and points in the direction of callbacks dominating the majority of modules available.
