Hi Joel,
unfortunatelly it wasn't or I do sg wrong.
I copied the dll into the plugins folder and restarted the editor but no change.
Any further suggestions?

That fix worked for me, and others. I also installed the other plugin updates
at the same time: Function List 1.2 and Hex Editor 0.7.
You might try re-installing it, and then copying the Explorer.dll (version 1.2
as of this writing) to the plugins directory again.

As a proof of concept I modified the LoadAspell() function in aspell.cpp so
that it looks for the Registry value "Path" in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aspell OR
HKCU\Software\Aspell (in that order), and it seems to work OK. SpellChecker
does not seem to care if Aspell is properly registered, rather it only seems
to need to know the path to Aspell.
An added advantage is that if I need Aspell on a machine where I do not have
permission to register a program in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE I can still use Aspell
via copy-paste into Notepad++.

I appreciate the response, but you are pretty far off the mark.
I keep all my bookmarks in a directory on my server. They are all files that
end with ".url". If a web url changes, I'll open the file in notepad and update
the url that is inside. Hence wanting to have the "Edit with Notepad++" show
up when I right click a ".url" file.
I found a workaround by putting a Notepad++ shortcut in my "SendTo" folder.
So now I can send any file to Notepad++.
I don't think what I am trying to accomplish is really that complex; I mean
someone has already associated the "Edit with Notepad++" with ".txt" files and
".vbs" files... all I want to do is associate that context menu entry with
".url"
files.
The fact that it's ".url" files doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of
things. I mean, if I have a bunch of text files that end with ".xyz" and I
would like "Edit with Notepad++" to show up in the context menu, my question
would be the same. Why files are named ".xyz" or what I am doing with files
named ".xyz" is irrelevant.
I guess a more appropriate subject line for my post would have been "Creating
the 'Edit with Notepad++' context menu entry for custom file extensions"--that's
all I'm trying to accomplish.

+1 - This gets me whenever I work anywhere that's not my desk with the second
monitor attached to my laptop's docking station.

They say Notepad++ will be able to display other languages that is not English
only when you choose the right font.
Just go to Settings>Style Configurator and choose the font that support your
language. I tried GungsuhChe, and when I pasted your message, it works!
