## Summary - Keep this repository at `8.0.0-SNAPSHOT` and consume released Grails `8.0.0` through `grailsVersion`. `-PprojectVersion` no longer retargets the Grails Gradle plugins or imported BOMs when `grailsVersion` is set. - Pin the versions Grails 8.0.0 shipped: Gradle `9.8.0`, Groovy `5.1.3`, `grails-publish` `1.0.0-RC2`, and asset-pipeline `5.2.0`. - Stamp `projectVersion` onto the compiled Grails plugin descriptor. The compiler script is generated by a task that runs after `clean`, so `clean compileGroovy` still reports `8.0.0-SNAPSHOT` instead of grails-core's `8.0.0`. ## Testing - `:build-logic:test`, including the `clean compileGroovy` compiler-script regression - `:grails-micronaut:clean :grails-micronaut:compileGroovy` produces `META-INF/grails-plugin.xml` with `version='8.0.0-SNAPSHOT'` - `./gradlew build rat` on JDK 25 -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
