Review comment:
every `walEnabled ` usage (except CheckpointWorkflow) now covered by
existing or added `&& grp.persistenceEnabled()`.
It's good to encapsulate this to `walEnabled ` with renaming of current
`walEnabled` to `localWalEnabled`
Just to minimize length of if's conditions.
