I don't think signing players is/will be an issue with Mendes doing his thing, although I'm not sure how many players we actually 'attract' - I can't imagine Moutinho was sitting in his pad in Monaco thinking 'Oh how I would love to swap all this for Wolverhampton'. Mendes says go, and they go - I'm sure there were a few of his clients who were happy to see the clock tick past midnight on transfer deadline day without getting 'the call'.
Expectation is high after the way we dominated the league last season, added to our squad and then started so well this season. For some that expectation is now maybe a bit too high. We're exceeding my expectations though and I'm loving it. We murdered Burnley, who qualified for Europe last year, and have been a match for United, City and Spurs. We're still finding our feet in some ways but I'm enjoying watching us do so. I can only see us getting better. If we can find the key to scoring more goals (whether that be through new or existing players) we're most definitely 'on our way back' (have to say, I actually get goose bumps hearing that chant echoing around Molineux). How good did MGW look when he came on against Spurs? Some talent for an 18 year old - that ball for Costa's 1:1 was exquisite and after a first half where we couldn't seem to beat the first defender with our crosses he found a way to give us that penetration.
