Panita personally I think it's a great idea, but I don't have resources for doing it (not even for translating it to Italian).
I think that we need to put on a configuration file all the strings printed on screen and use a language or another according to the setup. In general I'm not an expert for this kind of developments, so this is just an hint. If you decide to do some work, shall you need assistance please let me know.
