I have to reinstall the machine. And i install ubuntu server 10.10 and the last
version for ntop of ubuntu ¿3.3 wtf?

I see if i start ntop only with "ntop" (without arguments) take the config
arguments that you set in the (admin/configure/startup options) and resolved
ok. But if you start ntop with "ntop - L -d -p /etc/ntop/protocol.list" ntop
fails to resolve properly.

Can you start ntop with –t 5 and
then check the log file for all ntop startup messages; you should see it start
at least 3 threads for name resolution. Also, maybe try running as root
instead of user “ntop” – perhaps it’s a permissions
issue somewhere.

Yes, it can. I checked this twice.

The pinga name resolution works ok.
