I just sent questions to you before reading this message you sent.  Sorry for the confusion.   I have been to Falls Church VA, for work but never Arlington.     I am not much of a coder, but will try to come up to speed with C.  I have always been intrigued with C and understand the flow, pointers, etc.  I just get screwed up on function prototypes and syntax.    I just never had a decent prof who had experience, I had a Cobol person, takeover the class at the last minute and in the 5th week we were doing structures and I got lost.   Never recovered.  <grin>  I have dreams about syntax errors.

The older version of ntop was a breeze, you ./configure, make, make install, make clean, and voila, a great monitoring tool that showed what the interfaces were chugging, and as a great bonus, showed who was surfing  "american witches and pagans.com"    .....     Got an old version?     I have a network problem that is kicking my butt.   I am in St Louis, have a network in NJ and can't get anything to do a monitor over the WAN on Tier1.

So, how do you want to proceed on doing some coding?    Do you want a job? Do you need a job?    Go to     www.csc.com     we have tons of security and network positions open.    Globally.     I have started a network security gig on the side and need some help as well.    The goal is to migrate full time to it.

Two things...

0. I'll wait -- though that seems to be the common promise.  If you want it
published and yet maintainable, probably a raw version in something like
word and then a .pdf to post.

1. The URL stuff - IMHO that should be a plugin, and one that I'd be looking
for somebody to sponsor development for.  I've got to find some way to make
this hobby pay or get a job.

2. Do I know you?  Personally I mean... like did you ever work for KPMG/TSS
in Arlington VA??

Pdf it is sir.    I will need a little while though.   (yes I am sure you
have heard THAT one before)     Did I miss the boat on getting the local to
remote URLs of where the workforce is surfing?   We are experiencing a nasty
bandwidth crunch, sure would help to justify "no spinner".   Gee imagine,
all work and little surfing.
