Dear Gurtej Sandhu,

GS> 1) I am using the ntop web interface. When I click IP-local->router it
GS> say there is no router connected and no ports being used.

I have the same config, and I see nothing there. I think it's OK.

GS> 2) Under Netflow conguration -> *Virtual Netflow Interface network
GS> address, *am I suppost to enter the ip address of the interface of the
GS> router that is sending the flows to the server that has ntop installed.

You're supposed to specify your local subnet there, like 10.100.1.0/255.255.0.0 or 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0. After that you will get correct list of remote and local hosts, additional hosts yopu can add with -m (--local-subnet) switches. Please read the description of this setting, it is very helpful. Don't forget to switch NIC to netflow after configuring Netflow interface (Admin -> Switch NIC).

GS> 3) also I used -m to specify my local subnet from my web interface.
GS> but my local
GS> hosts show up as remote hosts. You know what the problem there could
GS> be. Thanks.

hth.
