If you
have recently turned on Antivirus software (as we did) for your backup servers,
it will, at the very least, double the length of time it takes. If, of
course, you are using real-time scanning, the index files are constantly
changing and are constantly being scanned at the point of
change...
Try
excluding the directories where dynamic changes are made for your backups if
this is the case...
