I have found, with several older apps, especially the photo editor
from MS Office97, that once in a while they move offscreen.

They show in the task bar, but they are either offscreen, or maximized
- no inbetween.

So, I hit the restore button (the one between the the minimize and X
buttons at the upper left of the app) while it's minimized, and yes,
it's the one that puts it into resizable mode. This causes the app to
disappear.

However, the app still has focus.

At that point, if you press ALT+Spacebar, then the 'm' key, then any
of the cursor/arrow keys, and then the <enter> key, the app will
magically reappear on the screen, and behave normally for a while
after that.

It's strange behavior, but the above procedure has always fixed it for me.
