OTOH, the whole point of computers is to make them adapt to what you need --
at least to some extent.

It's not like getting the iPad or any other tablet to work in this fashion
is impossible.   Document access is actually relatively easy.

Besides, tablet use is inevitable.  Might as well get ahead of the curve of
delivering corporate services around/to/with them.

There was a time when PCs were not the way to provide technology services to
business users, and that hurdle was overcome.   Deja vu...
