If people treated a phone like it was a $500 irreplaceable item, I bet they wouldn't be so careless about it. I've decided to treat my phone this way and it's amazing the precarious/carefree holds I don't do with it anymore :)

They've broken/lost way too many in the past. Some of them only weeks after having them. Also, insurance doesn't always cover the cost of a replacement, more so with smart phones.
