I've switched my wife and myself over to Straight Talk, both of us have the iPhone 4 and have been happy with the service. No issues so far. I was more interested in anyone that had done something like this before. Bought a phone for one network to get the lower price on the phone, then immediately switched to another.

He doesn't use heavy internet (say, Netflix) on Straight Talk, but he does use it for emails, iMessage texting and some web browsing. The guide we had to do the conversion for the phone noted the following: The official tag line is that the internet is "unlimited". The unofficial line is that after about 100 megs or so, they will start rate limiting you. This wasn't a problem for my father's planned use of the phone.
