I've seen water and ice spit from an overhead Liebert unit, had it's own internal coil, using the building chiller cooling tower (as opposed to freon type external compressor) and it DID spit. Unfortunately, it was right above a WrightLine server rack, had to use some tupperware type under bed storage tubs on top of the rack to 'collect' the ice and water... I have never seen any AC unit cheap or otherwise spit condensation out the cooling vent. All the internal units I’ve looked at have internal drip pans that can be plumbed too if necessary. The $400 portables I’ve used personally from Home Depot do this. Condensation comes from outside the evaporator coil. This isn’t in the path of air moving internally through the unit’s ductwork.
