ImageX would work fine for "imaging" but it cant inject drivers into XP. Sysprep will *very* much help you. It's designed to do just this, it will allow additional Mass Storage Drivers to be included in the image, then it will remove what's not present after. nLite is cool, but its more than a GUI front end, it's a bit of a hack.
