Disappearing program

I use VNC to control my servers. Today I went to update them. I updated 
one of them and all went well. Then I updated the next server. When I 
restarted I went to launch the VNC and the desktop shortcut AND the 
program in "Program Files" disappeared. I reinstalled VNC and the same 
thing happened. Running Vista Ultimate, Real VNC to Server 2003.

Any suggestions??
