If I have a user on the phone I can walk the biggest ID10T I have sending me a
Remote Assistance in under 60 seconds and since there's a time out on the
invitation there's no issue with privacy. AND it's built in - no new versions,
no other issues it just works 100% of the time.

True.. but consider the average user is probably not going to understand how
to request Remote Assistance. :-) Heck, *I* don't even know how to do it. At
this point, once VNC is installed, all a user has to do is call me and tell
me "I'm having trouble with x, can you take a look?" I then launch VNC
Viewer, log into their desktop and see what's going on. :-) No action
required on their part. :-)

Not to mention it can also be used to spy on users... I've had to do that
for HR at a previous employer. I had real mixed emotions on that one....

It has one nice feature over RDP: You can see what the user is seeing
without logging them off the desktop.
