If you have Win7 you can run the app in either XP Mode or select and
older OS to run it (by setting this in the program properties). Don't
remember if you can set this in Vista.

Hehe... yeah... turns out that the program will NOT run in Vista. It
ONLY runs in XP or older versions of Windows...

Did you use the sysinternal tools to check to see what it was looking
for?
I had one program that did not know what 1gig of RAM was, so we had to
run the Windows XP with 960K of RAM.

A couple of years ago, I had to install win 98 on a computer that died.
The equipment was outdated and cost $100K+ to replace. And in a
different department, I had to install Win95 last month for a similar
piece of equipment. Try to remember how to load a cd driver in dos so
you can install Win95.

Say it ain't so! I just had to install this AND one of the people who
use it just got a Windows 7 machine.

I'll have to get that software from my user and see what's going on.

Apparently it only works on XP, 2000 or 98. L

Not to mention, they couldn't tell me how to get an updated version of
the software! I've got a call into the sales rep to explain that they
really need to get with it, because XP isn't being sold any more, and 98
and 2000 are not even *supported* by Microsoft any longer! Sheesh!

This is the second issue I've had with a so-called "help desk" this
week. I'm not feeling very charitable right now!
