Need to know exactly where the software is trying to save, in that case. I've never heard of software like that needing some sort of dedicated temporary partition. I've had issues with programs trying to access the c: drive when it has been restricted via Group Policy, and we've normally got around that with some Registry tweaks telling it where to use for the default locations.
