Hey Sam, I wasn't using non commercial mode when it was happening to me. I was having the same error as Phillip when writing to prores (closed unexpectedly etc.) however when writing to DPX I was getting something like this:
Render error in script: G:/*censored*/New_Seq_DPX/Sequence 1_v01/Sequence 1_v01.nk frame 66386 Render error: Read24: G:/*censored*//306_021/nuke/renders/306_021_comp_v03.1434.dpx:Read error: No such file or directory" It was failing at the same point, but while DPX export was reporting the actual problem, the prores export was failing with a generic error message. Perhaps you have this logged as a separate issue for commercial mode? However I can't be 100% certain you were hitting that particular bug (as it relates to non-commercial mode). It would be great if you could try and let me know! Also seems the foundry are saying it's fixed in the beta ...... I ended up exporting to a DPX sequence, which like your export got part of the way, then failed. But when exporting to DPX the error message was much more detailed. Turns out it was looking for a frame that didn't exist. Once I fixed that both the prores and dpx exports ran fine. I raised this with TF and this is what they said: "Bug 49241 -Export - Wrong error dialog appears after exporting file with MPEG-4 codec in Studio NC It should be fixed soon. In the meantime, I would suggest selecting the 'Keep Nuke Script' option on the transcode exporter, which cause the nk script and log file from the transcode to be left in the target directory. This allows you to open the log file to see the errors." It was failing as soon as it started , but then I cleaned up the timeline, deleted tracks, consolidated effects etc . The files on the timeline are 10bit DPX I'ts now getting part way through and then failing leaving a watchable but incomplete .mov file. I'm trying to render to prores 422 HQ. I have created a fresh export preset I have cleared tags from the sequence. I have restarted and rebooted. I am very frustrated. All help and insights greatly appreciated.
