Arnaud,

This is the piece of information:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] hylafax]# ldd /bin/newhidups
       libusb-0.1.so.4 => /usr/lib64/libusb-0.1.so.4 (0x0000003d17600000)
       libc.so.6 => /lib64/tls/libc.so.6 (0x0000003709d00000)
       /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x0000003709b00000)

Arnaud,

Considering this message I did not try your suggestion.

I can confirm that there is no problem with the UPS and the power line is
stable. I have attached the relevant log file for a run.

I forgot to mention this is a 64-bit Linux kernel.

point taken.

I've finally ordered a 64b test system to check the (many) reported problems.
I'll let you know when I have more info.

please send me the result of:
ldd <path_to>/newhidups

Arnaud
