Read the "shutdown.txt" file in the nut sources. There is an extra step you must take before the UPS will switch off the power to the PC (the load). It goes like this: You lose the line power; The UPS switches to battery; Once the UPS gets to the "low battery" point, it sends a command to the PC to shut down; Once the PC is "almost" shutdown, it sends a command to the UPS to switch off the power to the PC - this will result in the PC going the rest of the way off. Then, when the line power is restored to the UPS, the UPS restores power to the PC, and the PC reboots.
