I just want to let birders know in my last message, I did not at all harass the phalarope by approaching it. I should have indicated that the bird approached me! The bird seemed very tame and walked right up to within five feet of me. So any birders that feel I stressed the bird in any way, can remain at ease for I did not! I just wanted to address the topic since a few people have already admonished me for getting within five feet of the bird. Sorry for the misunderstanding!
