Guest Speaker: Dr. Judith S. Weis
Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Rutgers University
in Newark, NJ
Topic: Salt Marshes - All You Want to Know
Dr. Weis and her team have been conducting extensive research in the
Hackensack Meadowlands. Most of the research focused on the effects of
stressors like environmental contaminants, invasive species and
parasites on the behavior and ecology of estuarine organisms. Dr. Weis
recently wrote “ Salt Marshes: A Natural and Unnatural History.”
