The Saturday morning bird walk had 21 birders who decided to take the
Unofficial Semi-Big Year challenge. Using NYBG's free Birding List, of birds
most commonly found in the northeast, we are counting birds until December 31,
2013. There is still time to join in the fun and there will be surprises for
the birder who has the most birds marked off by December.

Highlights of today's walk;
White-winged Crossbills in the brilliant sun. What a beautiful sight! The Great
Horned Owls- still roosting together, a Barred Owl, Gray Catbird and Cedar
