Observed the beginning of the late migrants in CP this weekend. Large influx
of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Thrashers, Phoebes, Sapsuckers, Flickers,
Towhees, White-throated Sparrows and my FOY of Chipping Sparrows and Juncos.
Also picked up Field Sparrows - one at Strawberry Fields on Saturday and one at
the maintenance field today. Still good numbers of warblers, mostly Common
Yellow-throats and Palms, but also Parulas, Black-throated Blues, Ovenbird,
Magnolias, Black & Whites, and a late Yellow.

I found Falconer's Rock to be a good location because the lawn is closed,
leaving birds to forage in peace and safely run for cover. There I caught my
FOY Yellow-rump and today lucked out on a Yellow-breasted Chat.

Happy Birding,
Alan Drogin
