I'm still commuting in (out out as the case may be) every day from the
Carling/Kirkwood area to near Alcatel on the March Road in Kanata.

If the roads are clear, my limit is -15 Celsius, below that it can't make it
half way before the water bottle freezes up. I picked up a Planet Bike NiMh
light at M.E.C. last year. (9/12/15 watts) and it does me well when the sun
doesn't shine. If there is no snow, I stick to bike paths as much as
possible. Once the snow is impassible on bike paths, I change my route to go
solely by road.

And I can vouch for Les, as I see him coming from the opposite direction
almost every day.

regards,

Greg
Phsyclist

Subject: [obc] Who's still commuting?

Although cold, the weather is decent, and the conditions can be very
pretty. Tuesday, I had a nice ride from Bell's Corners to Kanata, on
pathways, with a lovely light carpet of fallen leaves. It was so nice,
I thought of "calling in well" and keeping going. But I didn't.

Tomorrow - Friday - looks reasonable, and Monday is a maybe. The
Weather Network
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/cities/can/Ottawa_ON.htm predicts white
stuff Tuesday, however.

Another useful weather URL is the Franktown radar station:
