Hello,

I'm using Octave to script my data acquisition systems (GPIB, USB and
DAQmx) that I use in my superfluid turbulence and classical fluid
Rayleigh-Bénard convection experiments.

To do that, I have encapsulated the required functions of the NI VISA
library and NI DAQmx library into oct files. Most of my colleagues use
LabView instead... I am thinking of giving this code to the community
if people are interested but I don't know if there can be license issues
(the NI VISA library and NI DAQmx library are freely available but are
not open-source).

I also use Octave to do the data processing when possible (instead of
Matlab like most of my colleagues). I generate the plots using
LaTeX/TiKZ whenever possible.

Julien
