Before I tried reformatting anything, I would simply buy a low end
machine running Win98 & try your stuff.
Win98 is still basically a shell over DOS & personally I haven't found
too much DOS/Win3.x stuff that will not run on Win 9.x, (I think one app
that won't print is about it). We also have plenty of code for
compiling/loading/configuring stuff into Moto 68K processors & it all
works OK under Win 9x (though NT can be a problem for some of our
stuff).
You still have the option of shelling out to DOS if need be as well.
Of course I am willing to swap you my old home machine (a P100 that I
can install Win 3.11 on), for a nice new PIII 500 <g>
