What is the best (i.e. cheapest that still does the job) virus scanner - for home use.

There are a few online scanners that do a nice job, and are free to use.

I use AVG for normal anti-virus stuff, but periodically run the online scanner from Panda as an added precaution. Unfortunately this scanner gets a false positive with one of my favortie utils, so I don't use it very often.

AVG:

Panda ActiveScan:

BTW: AVG isn't the greatest anti-virus program around. I'd be interested in any other free anti-virus programs people can suggest.
