Define 'Std Apps', define 'Quite Happliy'
This is BS,

a/ NT4 is no longer a supported product
b/ Linux would prob not run happily on this machine

Tell the Tech to get his head out of arse and upgrade it
jeez for $850 you can buy an IBM, for $950 it comes with XP Pro

Subject: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: Performance issues

Hi

We have a user who is reporting dismal performance on the following
    PII 266
    128MB
    Win NT4 sp6a

We mentioned that the machine may be a little light for NT but there techie
said.

'My experiance with NT4, is that it quite happily runs on a pentium 100 with
64 mb ram, running standard apps, and mcafee virus scan.'

What do you think?
