As it happened, it did help; I guessed what old email address it was
using. Leastways, I think I got it right, time will tell.

In such cases, we TurboNote users do this (shameless plug <g>):

* Define the old email address as our origin address
* Send the unsubscribe note
* Revert to the proper email address
* Delete "un" from in front of "unsubcribe" and send again

Just takes a moment. I dare say you can do the same from most full-
fledged email clients too; depends on how easily you can change your
origin address (Pegasus is easy), and whether your organisation's
mail server will then buy it.
