No way. A plain grey sweatshirt, probably branded "Armani Geek" somewhere that it can't possibly be seen by anyone, is exactly what the truly important geek wears. Think about it. He is surrounded by ten flunkies, and a whole bunch of sycophants from other IT companies (in expensive suits) are all vying for his attention. What is going to stand out amoung the penguins? What says "I am so important that I don't have to try to impress you all, for my mere existence is enough" better than a plain grey sweatshirt?
It's even better if the sweatshirt really is a thousand dollar Armani, because then he gets the added "I have so much money that I can afford to waste it on stupifyingly expensive and horribly ugly rubbish. And I don't care" bonus.
