I run a webserver and ftp server off my DSL connection with a dynamic IP. I setup a free account at www.no-ip.com and have their little app installed which connects to them everytime the IP changes and registers the new IP. You end up with a no-ip subdomain which always works. You can then setup CNAME (Canonical Name) forwarding in your domain register to forward your proper domain to point to this subdomain for the required TCP ports. It works very well.

Ross.
