Because the home page is about promoting activities/technology/releases whatever. If we don't use that delivery mechanism to reach to a wider audience then we're being really stupid. The home page has pretty much sat in limbo with an open(2) logo on it for months (with no offense to my brother). Compare and contrast with http://www.gnome.org/ and a very different focus. I know which I prefer to grow my community. Glynn
