I agree with almost all of this, but I also think it is important that
OpenSolaris not be at the mercy of Sun. IOW, it should at least be
possible for the bug tracking system to moved into a datacenter other
than Sun's. I don't care whether the solution itself is open or closed
(open is obviously better, but a closed solution can work too...
especially if it just uses a backing SQL database so other front ends
can be developed later if the need arises.)
All this said, I really like how bugster deals with bugs (i.e. how the
data is stored and arranged in the databases.) On the other hand, I
hate the bugster UI. :-) It would be nice to have a web front end, too.
