One of the recurring themes of this reorg discussion was that
our current hierarchical model of relationships wasn't really
working, and that we needed to let the various collectives
(UGs, Projects, ...) manage their own connections.
For me, tag clouds came to mind. As I visualize this, your
OSUG would/could have the following tags
OSUG
France
EU
Francophone
Englishophile :-)
DTrace
Other OSUGs on the continent could also tag themselves
with the "EU" tag; others in France would also use the
"France" one...
Of course, this particular vision *does* require that the
webapp support tagging and cloud navigation; that's the
next hurdle - we are not quite there yet.
