Hi,
In the past sch sent out the election notification, so Bill, I'd ask you
to send this to ogb-discuss on Monday, unless you prefer not to. Just
let us know.
Also, in the past, pollbot at opensolaris.org would send reminder mail to
eligible voters in this form:
At Mon Mar 26 23:59:59 2007 PDT, the poll, "Board Election 2007/Ratify
Constitution", will close on poll.opensolaris.org. You are eligible
to vote in this poll by having Core Contributor status in the edu
community. Please consider participating in community governance and
vote. (If you have already voted, please ignore this message.)
Poll status and instructions may be found at
http://poll.opensolaris.org/
It seems like it would ping you on some regular interval until you
voted. If we don't have pollbot this year, just let us know and we'll
amend the following notification text to remove the line about reminder
mail during the polling period.
election notification draft text:
The polling system is now open for the 2010 Board election, as well as
the question of accepting the new proposed constitution text at
http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+ogb/Proposed+Constitution
Core Contributors from all Community Groups are eligible to
participate in the poll. The polling period is from Mon Mar 8th
(00:00 hrs US/Pacific) and will close Mon Mar 22nd (23:59 hrs US/Pacific).
Further information about the candidates and the amendments may be
found at
http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+ogb/2010
See
http://poll.opensolaris.org
for poll status and links to instructions. Eligible voters will
receive reminder mail at intervals during the polling period.
Again, concerns or questions regarding the poll content should be
shared on ogb-discuss; report problems with the poll mechanism on
website-discuss.
