I have a question to ask Ryan, so that I can clear up what I
considered a misunderstanding about what can be done with the
d2STL.

ok here is my question:
Could an existing game company take one of their products
and add an appendix to the end containing d20 versions of all
characters, monsters, treasure and so forth, including both
licenses (the OGL and the d20STL). Then add in the required text
at the beginning (text that says "requires the PHB" and how they
differentiate between open and closed material (plus a list of PI
stuff included in the Open stuff - such as the name of a character
that is planned to used as part of the title of another module), and
then publish it with the d20 logo? This book would also have the
companies own proprietory system information in the book
(scattered throughout). Would this be permissible?

Also, say this company had a generic campaign setting,
containing no system rules of any kind. If they added the OGL and
the d20STL and the required text at the front, but not any rule
information of any kind, could they publish this product with the
d20 logo?

(note: please the the above two paragraphs intact when replying as
I am planning on forwarding the official answer to the mailing list
that brought these questions up.)
