Might I note that I feel caution should be exercised here. A lot of
people are claiming, mostly based on misunderstandings of the proposed
D20 STL, that "all you can do is write D&D supplements". The more
restrictive you make the terms, the closer this will be to the truth.
While I'm not privy to WOTCs business plans, it seems that for the
network effects to be maximized, the must be D20 horror games, D20
western games, D20 superhero games, collections of 'for use with any D20
game' items, NPCs, spells, feats, etc, and optional 'plug in' combat,
magic, etc, systems. The more tightly you define 'a D20 product', the
less variety there will be in such offerings.
